Overwatered my ferns for years until a leaf told me
I had this Boston fern that kept dropping yellow leaves no matter what I did. Turns out I was watering on a schedule instead of checking the soil, and it only needs a drink when the top inch is dry. My neighbor pointed out the mushy stems and now I stick my finger in the dirt before anything. Anyone else make that mistake with a picky plant?
