Hot take: my free curbside table rebuild turned into a 9 hour Saturday and I'd do it again
Found a solid oak table on the curb in Ferndale two Saturdays ago, grabbed it before the trash truck came, and figured a quick sand and stain would take me maybe 2 hours. Nope, someone had glued the legs on crooked and caked on 3 layers of paint, so I spent all day chiseling, planing and re-drilling the leg plates. Around hour 7 my neighbor Dale walked over and just said "that thing's fighting you" and he was right, but by 8pm it stood dead flat and level. What's the worst curb find you've talked yourself into fixing, and did it end up worth the time?
