Rebuilding a chimney crown in 95 degree heat took me 11 hours, is that normal?
Last Saturday I had to tear off a cracked chimney crown on a house in Tulsa and pour a new one, and the mix started setting up way faster than I planned for. I ended up working in the full sun from 7am to 6pm because I had to keep stopping to mist the forms and re-trowel the slope, plus hauling buckets up a ladder one at a time. How do you all handle a crown pour in real heat, do you rig up a hoist or just start at dawn and pray?
