Showerthought: the old mason in Waco who made me tear down 3 courses because of a 1/8 inch gap
Back in 2019 I was laying block on a garage wall in Waco and this older mason named Ray walked by, ran his level over my work, and made me tear down three courses over a gap I couldn't even see. He pulled out a folding rule and showed me how a 1/8 inch drift at the bottom turns into a half inch by the top of the wall. How do you all handle a helper or new guy who gets it a little off but swears it looks fine?
