That old church in Providence had the best soldier course I've seen

Took a drive up to Providence last weekend and peeked at a 1920s church restoration. The way they laid the soldier course over the arched windows, every brick was perfectly plumb and the joints were razor thin. I've been laying brick for 12 years and never nailed that tight of a radius. Anyone else got a favorite detail they've spotted on an old building that made them rethink their own work?
