Tried the 52 week challenge with actual cash, turned into a mess

So I thought putting physical dollar bills in an envelope each week would feel more real than my app... 17 weeks in I had about $450 sitting in a shoebox, then my dog got into it and shredded like $80 into confetti. Switched to a boring high yield savings account that auto-transfers every Friday, zero drama and I actually earned like $2.30 in interest last month. Anyone else have a physical cash system blow up on them, or am I the only one with a paper-eating pup?
