One tip about thermal paste changed how I fix every laptop now
I was swapping a fan on a used ThinkPad and kept getting heat issues no matter what. Someone on here told me to stop spreading the paste and just do a pea sized dot in the middle. I had been leveling it with a card for two years. Tried their way last Tuesday on a Dell that was shutting down and it dropped 15 degrees under load. Do most of you just do the dot method or do you still spread it for bigger chips?
