Pro tip: I've fixed 30 game consoles this year and number 30 taught me more than the first 29
I started keeping a notebook in January and wrote down every console I cracked open on my bench, and last Tuesday I hit 30 for the year, a beat up PS4 from a guy in Dearborn who swore it was dead. The weird part is I stopped guessing at the problem around number 20, because the notes showed me the same three fixes kept showing up over and over. For the folks who repair a lot, do you actually track your repairs somewhere, or do you just go off memory?
