Showerthought: I called those phone repair kits a scam for 2 years, then my screen cracked
I always told people the $20 screen fix kits on Amazon were junk and you should just pay a shop, mostly because a guy in Denver told me the glue never seals right. Then my kid dropped my Galaxy S21 face down on the driveway 3 months ago, and I figured why not try the kit before dropping $200, and it worked fine for 8 months until a tiny corner lifted. So is the hate on DIY kits real or just people who never took their time with the heat gun, because I honestly can't tell anymore.

Ever notice how the people calling them junk never actually tried one? They just repeat what some guy told them, and that guy probably rushed the heat and peeled the screen too fast.
