The $6 capacitor that fixed my 10 year old flatscreen
My Samsung TV started flickering and shutting off after 15 minutes last month. I watched every video about blown capacitors and checked the power board, sure enough two of them were bulged on top. I ordered a pack of 10 from an electronics store for $6 and replaced them with a cheap soldering iron. It has run 4 hours a day for two weeks now without a single hiccup. Has anyone else had luck reviving a TV this way, or did yours die for good after the fix?
