A guy at the Kroger on 5th watched me put back the $9 rotisserie chicken and told me something that stuck
Stood in the deli aisle last Tuesday in Columbus doing math on my phone. Chicken was $9, the raw whole one next to it was $5.49. I put the cooked one back. Guy behind me, older fella, said he cooks two raw chickens on Sunday and eats off them all week for under $12 total. He said the cooked ones go half price at 8pm but by then he is already home eating. I tried it that Sunday, two birds, $11, plus rice and frozen veg, fed me lunch and dinner five days. Anybody else work the Sunday cook ahead? What do you batch that actually holds up by Friday?
