Can we talk about those $40 meal prep containers that cracked in a week?

So I finally got tired of eating out every day and decided to try meal prepping. I went on Amazon and grabbed a set of those glass containers with the snap lock lids for about $40, thinking I was being smart. Two of them cracked in the dishwasher within a week, and the lids stopped snapping shut after maybe four washes. I had a whole Sunday batch of chili that leaked all over my bag on the bus to work. That was $40 down the drain plus like $15 of food I had to toss. So now I'm sitting here wondering if the move is just to buy the cheap plastic ones from the dollar store and replace them when they go bad, or if there's a set out there that actually holds up. Has anyone found glass containers that survive more than a month? I'm not trying to spend another $40 just to learn the same lesson twice.
