Unpopular opinion: the $8 hostel dorm in Lisbon was better than the $60 private room I booked the next night
The guy at the front desk said to save my money and stay in the dorm because I'd meet people, and he was right, since I ended up splitting a $12 seafood dinner with four folks from the bunk room, so what's the call on cheap dorms versus private rooms for solo trips?
