My buddy's throwaway line about my stripped oil pan bolt actually got me to slow down
I was on the phone with my buddy Dave last week, complaining about the stripped drain plug on my Civic after I tried to rush the oil change in my driveway in Akron, and he just said "you're not fixing a car, you're fighting it." That hit me weird because he was right, I'd been yanking on the wrench for 20 minutes instead of just tapping on a slightly bigger socket. How do you all tell when it's time to step back before you make a small mess into a bigger one?
