Snapped a bolt on my mower deck 3 years ago, drilled it out crooked, and my neighbor fixed it with a left hand bit
I was trying to swap blades on a Saturday in my driveway when the head twisted right off, and of course I got impatient and drilled off center into the crank threads. He came over with a left hand extractor bit and had it out in 2 minutes, so now I want to hear what other dumb stuff people saved without a tow to the shop.

Left hand bits get way too much credit, half the time a sharp punch and patience works just fine.
