The hint from a brake pad sticker that fixed my stuck caliper
Last month in Denver I replaced my front pads and pushed the caliper piston back with a clamp, the cheap way. The next day the wheel dragged and got hot, and I thought I'd ruined the caliper. Then I noticed a tiny sticker on the new pad box that said to twist the piston, not push it, on some models. I used a C-clamp with a socket and turned it clockwise a quarter turn, and it slid in smooth. Anyone else ever fought a piston that needed rotating and found the trick on the packaging itself?
