That time a customer called my drill bits 'disposable' and it actually stuck with me
Some guy buying a single screw told me I was wasting money on name-brand bits because he's used the same Harbor Freight set for 9 years doing cabinet work. Has anyone else gotten unsolicited feedback that totally changed their tool buying habits?

Mine was actually pretty similar. An older framer told me he buys the cheapest chisel sets he can find and sharpens them once before tossing them. Said he spends less in a year than I do on one decent chisel. It really made me rethink how much I was spending on stuff that I just beat up anyway.
