Fished a 900 ft pull through the wrong conduit at a new build in Plano and had to start over
Was pulling a 900 ft run of RG11 through conduit at a new build off Legacy in Plano last week and got it about 60 percent through when I noticed the drop wasn't coming out the right box. Turns out I was feeding the wrong conduit run because two of them were unmarked and 6 feet apart. Had to cut the whole thing loose and re-fish it from scratch, which cost me about 3 hours and a brand new spool. Now I tape a piece of red flag to the correct conduit end before I even pull the string. Anyone got a better way to mark runs on these big multifamily jobs?
Tape a flag to it and move on, honestly. Trying to come up with some fancy labeling system just adds steps and you'll still have dudes on the crew who ignore it. Mark both ends, take a pic of the run, and stop overthinking it.
