Found a dead raccoon in an attic pull during a rough-in in Buffalo last Tuesday
The homeowner didn't mention the smell at all when I showed up, and it took me 45 minutes to track down where it was coming from. Has anyone else dealt with animal carcasses in attics during cable runs?

That "free air freshener" comment got me thinking though (and not in a good way). It's funny how people just brush off stuff like this, you know? Like we've all gotten so used to ignoring the obvious problems right in front of us because dealing with them is too much hassle. I see it everywhere - not just with dead animals in attics but with leaky faucets, weird smells in cars, even that one drawer in the kitchen nobody can open without jamming it. Everyone just finds a way to work around it instead of fixing the actual issue. It's like we're all just tiptoeing around the messes in our lives pretending they don't exist. Makes you wonder how many other things we're ignoring that are just sitting there, getting worse over time.
