Wasted $400 on a fancy crimper before I learned the cheap one works better

I bought this $400 ratcheting crimper from a tool truck last spring because it looked tough and the sales guy said it would last forever. Turns out the grip is too wide and I can't get it into tight spots behind drywall. Ended up going back to my $40 Klein crimper and it works way better on RG6 and Cat6. What's the most money you've burned on a tool that didn't actually help?

My dad got suckered into buying a $600 torque wrench from Snap-on back in the 90s because it was supposed to be "mil-spec accurate." Two years later the internal spring started sticking in cold weather. Meanwhile his old Craftsman beam wrench from the 70s still reads dead on. The tool truck guy never did make it right on that one. Guess fancy marketing and a chrome finish don't actually make a tool better.
