Disagree completely. Fuel type rarely matters that much. Most modern stoves handle multiple fuels just fine. You probably have a clogged jet or bad air mixture. Or you're pumping it wrong and building too much pressure. Checking the fuel is just the easy answer, not the right one.

Ever cleaned the jet on one of those stoves? @oliver_mason is right about checking the air mix too. I've had that fix it more times than I can count.
