My $60 Coleman tent leaked on the second night at Lake Wenatchee, and the $3 fix was in my truck the whole time
Rain hit hard around 2am and water was pooling at my kid's feet because I pitched on a slight slope and never sealed the seam along the bathtub floor, so at 5am I flipped the tent, ran a bead of Gear Aid Seam Grip from the tube I bought for my waders last fall, let it tack up while we ate breakfast, and we stayed dry for the last two nights, but now I'm wondering if anyone else just skips factory seam sealing and does it themselves?
