My $80 titanium spork finally made me ditch the plastic ones
I bought a Snow Peak titanium spork back in March thinking it was overpriced hype, but after 14 camping trips it's held up way better than any of the $3 plastic sets I used to burn through. The fork prongs actually work for prying open stubborn cans, and the weight difference in my pack near Payson is noticeable. Still dont get why people pay extra for the long handled version though, the standard size does everything I need. Anyone else found a piece of gear that surprised them after years of cheaping out?
My $3 plastic sporks usually snap before the trip is even over, so you're already winning. Kinda makes me wonder what else I've been cheaping out on for no good reason.
