Junkyard rotor trick saved my daily driver $80

My front rotors were warped bad and new ones cost $140 a pair, so I pulled a set off a 2017 Camry at the local pick-n-pull for $22 each, then had them turned at a machine shop for $15 total. Coated them in high-temp paint before install and they've been smooth for 6 months now. Has anyone else tried swapping bigger brakes from a different model onto a budget build?

Heard a buddy mention that some guys swap in rotors from the bigger V6 models since they're thicker and don't warp as easy... been meaning to try that on my own car but haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad the junkyard route worked out for you though, that's some solid thinking.
