Gave up a $4k trade-in after 11 months, dealer wouldn't budge
I traded in a sedan I still owed $9,800 on for a truck last fall, and by March I knew I messed up. The dealer offered me $7,100 for the sedan, so the negative equity rolled into the new loan. When I tried to unwind the deal, they said the truck had already lost value and my payoff was $12,400 more than what they'd give me now. Lost the $3,400 gap plus about $700 in fees and taxes for nothing. Anyone else eat a rolled-over loan just to get out from under a bad choice?

$12,400 underwater on a truck after 11 months is rough, but you're acting like you got stabbed instead of just making a dumb car deal.
