Why does nobody talk about how the dealership's own financing guy can beat your credit union
I sat in the box at a Ford dealer in Mesa back in March ready to walk because their rate was 9.2% on a used truck, and their finance guy quietly cut it to 6.8% after I showed him a blank check from my credit union. Everyone in my truck group swears outside lenders always win, but he moved $60 a month off my payment without me even asking twice. Am I crazy for thinking the dealer's guy is sometimes worth hearing out, or did I just get lucky with the one honest guy left in that building?
