My Excel macro deleted 300 rows and my boss just laughed

Last Tuesday I spent 3 hours building a macro to clean up our client list. Ran it, watched it skip the header and wipe out 300 active accounts. My boss leaned over, saw the blank screen, and said 'well, at least you saved the empty template for next time.' Then he showed me how to use a simple filter instead. Still using that macro now, but I added a confirmation popup. Anyone else had a tool they trusted blow up in their face like that?
