Warning: My data slip at work fixed how I handle tasks
I completely forgot to review some numbers before a client call. It made me look unprepared and I felt really bad. After that, I set up a simple daily list to check my work. Now I stay on top of things and my manager said my focus has improved. It's a small win from a pretty dumb mistake.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I totally blanked on my sister's birthday. Felt awful, so now I have this whole color-coded calendar thing on my phone. It sends me alerts a week before, then three days out, then the day of. Way over the top, but I haven't missed anything since.

Color-coded calendar, I feel that. I had to start putting my KEYS on a lanyard after locking myself out three times in one month. Sometimes you just need a system that's so obvious it's dumb.

Yeah totally, that moment of panic when you realize you messed up is the worst but it really does force you to get better. I had a similar thing where I sent an email with the wrong attachment to a whole team. My desk was just covered in random papers and sticky notes. After that, I bought a single notebook and now everything goes in there, tasks get crossed out, notes go on the right page. It feels almost silly how much it helps, but my brain just needs everything in one spot or it all falls apart.
