Discovered my old industry had a secret job title that pays 30% more

So I spent 8 years in retail management, hated every second of it. Last week I was chatting with a guy at a BBQ in Austin who used to work the same district as me. He told me the company has an internal role called 'Inventory Flow Coordinator' that's basically what I already did, but with a different badge and a pay bump. I checked the old employee portal with my login still active. He wasn't lying. Same tasks, 30% more base salary. I nearly choked on my burger. Anyone else find out their previous job had a hidden ladder they never told you about? How do you even spot those before you leave?
