Serious question, did a $4,000 pay cut actually help anyone here switch fields?
I found a survey from a staffing firm in Denver that said most people who jumped into a new field took a pay cut of about 15%, and I just accepted one myself to move from retail into IT support, so I'm wondering if that drop was worth it for anybody who's been through it.
