I quit scribing pencil marks on rough cuts after a 3/16 inch gap in a cabinet run at the Cedar Rapids job last week
I was setting base cabinets in a 14 foot kitchen and skipped my usual story pole, just marked each cut off the last one, which stacked up to a gap wide enough to slide a nickel through, so now I snap one line off a fixed wall and measure every piece from that single point, and I want to know if anyone else has a better trick for keeping a long run honest.
