Finally slid a full room in under 4 hours, 20 minutes off my old best
Been doing carpet about 8 years now and yesterday I did a 12x14 bedroom out in Maplewood in 3 hours 50 minutes. Normally that size takes me closer to 4 and a half. I think what clicked was I stopped fussing with seam placement and just trusted the pattern match on the first try, plus I pre-cut my tack strip corners before rolling anything out. Saw a younger guy last week at the supply house bragging about speed and it got me thinking about where I waste time. Anyone else find a specific trick that shaved a chunk off their install time lately?
