Guy at the supply house said my seam roller was a toy, he had a point
Stopped by the local supply shop on Tuesday to grab some tack strip and this older installer, been doing it 30 years probably, looked at the little 2 inch roller I carry for seams and laughed. Said it was a toy and showed me the 4 inch one he uses with the heavy handle. I always figured smaller gave me more control in tight spots. But I tried his on a runner job yesterday and man, the difference in how flat that seam laid down was noticeable. No more going over it three times. Anyone else switched roller sizes and found their seams improved that much? I'm thinking about grabbing a heavier one for the big rooms but keeping the small one for closets.
