Powder actuated tools scared me for a decade, now I use them daily

Used to hammer-set every fastener by hand because I was sure a Ramset would blow through something or bounce back at my face. Then 2 months ago on a commercial job in Columbus, we had 400 feet of tack strip to nail into concrete and my foreman made me try his tool. After 50 rounds with no kickback and a perfect seat every time, I bought my own that week. Anyone else hold out on a tool way longer than they should have?

Ramset? More like Ram-YES, am I right? Took me until my 40s to stop hand-swinging a hammer like some old-timey blacksmith. My knuckles still have a grudge against me for those years of missed hits on concrete. Now I look for excuses to nail stuff into slab just so I can hear that satisfying pop.
