Was sure the knee kicker was a gimmick, then I laid 80 yards of berber with one
I have been stretching carpet with a power stretcher for 12 years and always thought knee kickers were for hacks and small closets only. Last month my power stretcher's tail block cracked on a 3 bedroom job in Fort Worth and the homeowner needed it done that day, so I borrowed a buddy's knee kicker and finished the whole thing. I figured the berber would ripple within a month, but I went back last week and it is still tight as a drum at every wall. Has anyone else had a knee kicker hold up long term on berber, or did I just get lucky with this one?
