Wrote off $300 cars as junk, then a guy at the KC swap meet in Belton proved me wrong
I always figured anything under $500 was a parts car, but this older guy named Ray told me he daily drives a $280 Ford Escort he bought at auction and spends maybe $40 a month keeping it alive. He handed me a folder with 4 years of receipts, and the total was under $1,900 including tires. Anyone else had luck going that cheap, or did I just meet the one guy who got lucky?
