Pro tip: my 2012 Focus shifted hard at 60k, and I found out Ford knew about the DCT clutch issue
I bought it at 38k and it drove fine for two years, then the clutch started shuddering so bad I thought I was stalling a manual. Turns out the dry dual clutch in those cars eats itself because it can't handle stop and go traffic, and there was a class action over it, anyone else get stuck with one of these?

That shuddering feeling like you're stalling a manual is exactly what mine did, so I know the pain. What worked for me was getting the dealer to reflash the transmission control module and then hounding them until they replaced the clutch under the extended warranty they had on those things. It wasn't a permanent fix but it bought me another 40k miles before I dumped the car.
