Pulled a $600 Facebook Focus out of a field in Gary, and the cheap multimeter beat my fancy one
Bought a 2004 Ford Focus for $600 from a guy in Gary, Indiana. It had sat in a field for two years and would not start. My $180 Fluke meter showed nothing wrong, but a $12 Harbor Freight meter found the issue in ten minutes: a bad ground strap hidden behind the engine block. Cleaned the connection and it fired right up. Anyone else had a cheap tool beat the expensive one?
