Update: I paid $63 for a used fuel pressure gauge and it finally ended my parts cannon habit

Honestly I wasted close to $400 last year throwing sensors at my 2001 Ranger because it kept bogging down on the highway outside Dayton. I did plugs, wires, a coil pack, an O2 sensor, even a throttle position sensor, just guessing the whole way. A guy on a Ford forum kept saying to check fuel pressure first and I ignored him for months because pulling the bed apart sounded awful. Ngl a $63 used gauge off marketplace plus a $9 adapter fitting is what cracked it, my pressure was dropping to 22 psi under load when it should sit near 60. Turned out to be a tired pump and a rusted ground strap by the tank, not any of the fancy stuff I bought. Tbh the gauge paid for itself in one weekend and it is just sitting in my toolbox now for the next junker. Has anyone else built up a pile of new parts they never needed, or is it just me?
