Remember when we all laughed at people still using cash a few years back? I was right there with you, thought it was pointless. Then my card got flagged for fraud while I was out of town and I had zero way to pay for gas or food for two days. Now I keep a couple twenties in my wallet and it's saved me more than once. Plus some small spots near me only take cash and there's an ATM fee every time. It's not about being old fashioned, it's just smart backup.
