The $30 emergency cash box that finally converted me from cards
I used to swipe my debit card for EVERYTHING, even a 50 cent gum. Then my bank froze my account for a week over some fraud flag, and I couldn't buy groceries or gas. I grabbed a $30 lockbox from Target, put my weekly budget in it, and now I physically see what leaving the house costs. That freeze was the wake-up call, I hated how HELPLESS I felt without plastic. Has anyone else had a bank hiccup that pushed them to cash only?
