Took me 3 weeks to find 43 cents in pennies so I could buy a $2.43 coffee
My local gas station on Route 9 has a $5 card minimum, so I've been paying cash for my morning coffee. Last Tuesday I counted out $2.43 in change on the counter while a line formed behind me, and the cashier just stared at my pile of pennies like I was doing a magic trick. It actually took me longer to dig the last coin out of my pocket than it did to drink the coffee. Does anyone else keep a jar of change in the car just for these little cash-only moments, or am I the only one holding up the line?
