Update: switched to cash after my bank held a $600 deposit for 11 days
I used to think going all cash was too much hassle, but waiting 11 days for my paycheck to clear while my electric bill sat due at the city office changed my mind fast. Now I walk into the credit union on Grand Ave, hand them the check, and walk out with bills the same day. Anyone else run into a hold that long, or is that just my bank?

Did you ask them to lift the hold since it's a payroll check?
