Picked eggs over chicken thighs at Aldi in Lexington and I'm still annoyed about it
I had $11 left on my card last Tuesday and stood in the Aldi in Lexington staring at a $6 pack of thighs vs a $2.50 dozen eggs. I went with the eggs and made a frittata with half an onion and some old cheese, but it was boring and I was hungry again by 8pm. The thighs would've given me dinner plus lunch the next day for a buck more per meal. What's your go-to when the cheap protein choice backfires like that?
