I used to swing at everything in beer league, now I take the first pitch and it's killing my average
Played 6 seasons in a rec softball league in Boise and I was always a first pitch swinger. Coach pulled me aside after we lost 9-8 in the playoffs and said my walk rate was near zero. So this season I started taking the first pitch no matter what. Now I'm down to .240 from .310 because I'm always behind in the count and pitchers know it. How do you find the middle ground between being patient and being frozen?
