The CPR rhythm I had wrong for 5 years, a metronome caught it
I trained as a nurse and always thought I was keeping pace during codes, you know, counting in my head. Then last week at work I had to run a drill with one of those new feedback devices and it showed my compressions were way too fast, like 130 a minute instead of 100. All those years I was basically doing the beat of a panic song instead of staying steady. Once I actually heard the metronome click and matched it, the depth and recoil felt completely different. Has anyone else had a skill they practiced forever get exposed by a simple tool or timer, or was it just me?
