Just hit 10,000 hours on our shop's oldest VF-2
The machine log showed it last night, and I was shocked it's still running so tight. We've only had to replace the spindle bearings once, back in 2019. What's the most hours you've seen on a machine before a major rebuild?

Honestly, that's insane for a VF-2. I've heard of some older Fadals hitting 50k hours before they finally gave up the ghost. It really shows what basic maintenance and good operators can do for a machine's life.

Keep the way oil fresh and the spindle warm, it's that simple.

Agree with joseph_hunt on the basics. People just run stuff into the ground and then blame the machine. Good habits make tools last forever.
