TIL the readout on my old Haas goes up in 0.0002 increments, not 0.0001 like the manual says
Ngl I felt pretty dumb last Tuesday when a guy half my age pointed this out over my shoulder. I was dialing in a boring bar for a bearing bore, chasing a tenth that never showed up on the screen. He grabbed the manual off my toolbox, flipped to page 88, and there it was in a footnote. Turns out the display rounds to the nearest 0.0002 on that control, so I was chasing a number that flat out did not exist. Four hours of my life gone because I never read the fine print. Has anyone else found stuff in their machine manual that makes them feel like a rookie after 15 years?
