Am I the only one who thought learning git would be way harder than it is

I put off learning git for like 4 months because everyone on YouTube made it sound like some nightmare of merge conflicts and detached heads. Then last week I actually sat down and spent maybe 3 hours on it and now I'm pushing and branching without even thinking about it. Did anyone else build it up in their head way worse than it actually was?
