My git push got rejected 5 times in a row on Thursday and I finally get why everyone says learn branches first
I was trying to push my little recipe site project to GitHub on Thursday night and the terminal kept yelling at me about rejected pushes and a 'fetch first' thing I did not understand at all. I had been editing the same file right on main for like 3 hours and somehow got two versions fighting each other. Instead of reading the error I panicked and deleted my whole folder, which lost about 45 minutes of work, then rebuilt it and did a proper branch like the free guide on GitHub says. Honestly I think every beginner class should make you learn branches before they let you touch push at all. What was the first git error that made you want to throw your laptop out the window?
